Federal Stock Media Trademark IssuedNEW YORK, NY - May 1, 2001 - Stock Media Corporation has received federal approval to use "Stock Media" as its registered trademark. Stock Media has been using the mark since the late 1990's to brand its content licensing software, process and content. It's primary web sites, StockMedia.net and StockMedia2000.com, are the entry points for the Stock Media network of web sites which when fully implemented will include over 60 domain names that begin with the word stock, such as www.stockfoto.com and www.stockfotos.com. Other trade marks that represent Stock Media's unique content and services include "The One-Stop Digital Tool Box", "Stock Media Index", Stock Media's product line includes a free suite of productivity software for creative professionals that facilitates the selection and grouping of words to search for and find photos, video and music in a database. Distributed under the trademarks "Keyword Creator", "Keyword Compiler", and "Keyword Source", this shareware enables photographers, musicians and their agents to select words from categorized pull-down menus in one of several languages, then automatically adds synonyms and translations in several other languages so that international users can find that content via online research. Stock Media CEO Randy Taylor says, "Federal registration of our trademark will strengthen Stock Media's branding and further differentiate our unique and proprietary content licensing software from product lines that attempt to be similar to those of Stock Media."
