Alliance
AMSTERDAM,
NETHERLANDS - May 26, 2001 - GlobalPhoto SA and
Stock Media Corporation have formed a transatlantic
strategic alliance to market photography and
multimedia content through their respective
Internet distribution channels. This is the first
agreement between two business-to-business portals
with similar strategies in the stock photo
industry. The companies will combine sales networks
and inventories on two continents to license
content to commercial print and digital clients for
editorial and advertising use.
GlobalPhoto
SA (www.globalphoto.com), a French editorial portal
that represents high quality images from over 450
independent photographers and 25 stock photo
libraries, primarily services a broad range of
print publications that includes Paris Match, Bunte
and Time.
Stock
Media Corporation (www.stockmedia.net), operating
from its international headquarters in New York
City, is a digital source of content for web
designers, online publishing entities and broadcast
brands.

Media CEO Randy Taylor says of the alliance,

Media is a registered trademark of Stock Media
Corporation, a privately held company, whose brands
includes the active web sites StockMedia.net,
StockMedia2000.com and StockFotos.com, together
with 60 domain names that begin with the word
"stock" that are scheduled for future
launch.
GlobalPhoto
SA, a privately held company which has completed
its first round of venture capital, has offices in
Paris, Dijon, London, New Delhi and New York. It
incorporates the companies of FDB and A'XEL photo
agencies.
