Marketing Network Launches

13, 2002 (New York, NY) - Stock Media Corporation
announced at Picture House-New York the soft launch
of the StockMedia.net Marketing Network, a
business-to-business model for commercial content
licensing that is similar in structure to a
cooperative.
StockMedia.net
acts as an online shopping mall where Network
members share centralized e-commerce functions and
content, each operating under its own brand and
control. Image suppliers, resellers and commercial
photo buyers can each display search results under
their individual brand with links back to their own
web site.
Image
suppliers, such as photographers, stock photo
agencies and copyright holders can control pricing,
region of distribution, and usage restrictions.
Suppliers pay a monthly hosting fee of up to 10
cents per image and receive 70% to 90% of the gross
licensing fee.
Resellers,
such as independant researchers, internal corporate
research departments, web sites and agents receive
20% to 30% of licensing fees for referring sales to
their branded section of the Marketing Network. If
the reseller is also the supplier, then search
results can be limited to just the images of this
one supplier. Resellers can enable commissionable
image searches from any web site, online porfolio,
ad banner or internet-enabled CD
Photo
buyers, such as publishers, graphic artists and
advertising agencies, can also receive reseller
commissions while also benefitting from online
usage trackng, collaborative editing areas, reduced
picture loss liability and outsourced technology
and content management.
The
StockMedia.net Marketing Network is powered by
Stock Media 2000 software, the most versatile
content licensing software that is commercially
availalbe. Stock Media software is also used to
power solusimages.com and mira.com, the later being
the stock sales web site of the Creative Eye
Photographers Cooperative.
