A StockMedia.net™ comp is a watermarked full size content you can use for layout purposes. It is a non licensed piece of content free for FPO. You can click and drag the content to your hard drive and use it in your editing or layout applications. To use this content you have to agree to an licensing agreement and pay a usage fee.

How To Register

Stock Media.net has two levels of registration. Level One Simple searching requires no registration To view enlarged images or to save content it to the editing area you only have to enter your Emmail address and a password of your choice. The Password can be between 4 to 8 numbers and/or letters in length. Letters are not case sensitive. Register Now. Level Two To purchase a content you have to fill out the next level of information which includes the usual detailed information that is needed for security and rights tracking.

If You Are A Registered User

Registered users you can purchase content , change the Personal Profile, apply for In House Charge accounts.
Keep your cookies turned on so the system can recognized you, otherwise you will have to reenter all the registration information each time you want to search or buy media. (more about Cookies )

You will need to remember your password to purchase content or change your profile. So store it in a secure place. Your password is linked to your billing information, so please don't share it with anyone.

Change Your Password

To change your password you need your e-mail address and your old password. In the field New Password just enter the new one and re-type it again. You will get a window with a change confirmation.

How To Access Usage History

StockMedia.net™ automatically archives all your content licensed and copies of your previous content invoices / sales orders. In usage history you can view and download previously licensed content or view and print past invoices / sales orders. To download content from Usage History click on the button account and go to License and Refund. A list of licensed Media will be shown to you. If you need you can sort all information by year and month.

Finding Photos:


Search By Keywords

You can Keyword search from any page you are at! There are two search criteria fields separated by a pull down menu with "AND" "OR" "NOT". You may enter several words to search in either fields on both sides of the pull down menu. It's important to note that the search is not case sensitive. You may use the words "and," "or," " not" as separators or symbols like "+" or "-". For example, if you want to search for a mother with an infant, you can begin your search with "infant and mother not father" or "infant + mother - father". Select "Go" to view the found results of the search request Click on a thumbnail image to view it full size. However, you must be signed-in before viewing content full size.

Search By Photo Number

If you have already completed a search on our Web site and have saved the Image ID Numbers, you may enter these specific content ID numbers to search also. Then click "GO"

Using The Editing Area

You must first sign-in to have access privileges to the collaborative editing area. After a search query is completed, several images will be displayed at a time. Editing Areas are created at the time when you select a media for the editing area by clicking on the plus sign in the search result. At this time a default editing area will be created for you or you need to choose an existing area. StockMedia will keep your editing area 30 days online and you are able to recall it as often as you need, you can e-mail it to a client or a coworker. Collaborative work can be done in the editing area life, by using the same password (create a new password, if you use the collaborative editing feature, to keep all other information private). If you created several editing areas you can choose one or more at the same time to work on two accounts. In the notes area you can leave messages for other people to read. You may browse through pages by licking the Next or Back buttons or the right or left arrow or select a page number.(although you can use your Internet Browser's own Forward and Back buttons to navigate without loosing marked content.

E-mailing An "Editing Area"

You can show a done Editing Area to another or others by e-mailing it to them. They'll receive an e-mail containing a URL link to the Editing Area They won't be able to add or remove content or access any of your other Editing Area but the content can be enlarged.

Collaborative Editing

The most powerful feature of StockMedia.net™ is the ability for multiple co-workers to simultaneously collaborate on editing within multiple editing areas. To do so, each editor must sign in using the same , e-mail and password. Each one can add and subtract content from this area, which will make a collaborative editing much easier. Try it with even three and four people. Each editor can do his or her own search and add to the Editing Area of the others and all this in real time. Keep in mind, by giving out your password will gives all participants access to all information in the personal profile of that account. Though credit card numbers are not stored there, other sensitive data may be. As such we suggest establishing a unique account for collaborative editing.

Enlarging An Image

Click on the image in the search or editing area. An enlarged watermarked pop-up window will appear. From here you can add to the shopping cart or delete or add to the editing area. All the information about the picture will also be displayed

Using The Shopping Cart

You have found the content you are interested in, added it to the shopping cart by clicking on the small shopping cart icon. This will take you to the shopping cart area where you will find an icon for the usage calculator. In the pull down menus you will find the different usage possibilities and usage length. Fill all these categories in and a license fee will be instantly calculated. You are not yet committed to the price or the purchase, change the parameters, remove one or more media or just leave the shopping cart area.

After calculating the price for the media click the continue button it will take you to the page where you create/verify or update your profile, after you have done that click the continue button to get to the secure credit card site if you pay by credit card.

In House Charge Account

If you have signed up for an In house charge account you will be taken to the page where you create/verify or update your profile, after you have done that click the continue button to get to the page where you enter your password and your unique account number. To apply for a Corporate Charge Account click here. Currently, accounts must have an U.S. billing address.

Payments All house accounts invoices are payable within 30 days. A finance charge of 1.5% will be added after to any balance not paid after 30 days. No usage rights shall be granted until payment has been made in full to StockMedia.net

Why Didn't My Credit Card Number Work?

When entering your credit card number, be sure that you use only numerals. Do not enter the credit card number using spaces, dashes or other non- numeric characters. The credit card number should be a continuous string of numbers. As well, be sure that you enter both the month and year values for the credit card expiration date into the appropriate fields on the form. And finally you must enter the exact ZIP code of the billing address of your credit card

How Do I Change Accounts Mid-Session?

The cookie automatically establishes your account. To change accounts, click on the Log In icon next to the StockMedia.net™ icon in the navigation bar to enter your personal profile. Choose and enter User ID, e-mail and password of the new account

Downloads

After verification of credit card number or In house charge account you will be taken to the Content Download page. By clicking on the download icon the bought media will be directly downloaded to your hard drive. The URL of the page has also been e-mailed to you and will be available for the next seven days.

Failed Downloads

If your download fails for some reason, please do not REPURCHASE that content. All purchased contents are freely available to you for downloading at any time in the future by accessing your usage history, available from you personal profile.
