ASMP To Study Benefits Of StockMedia.net
Licensing Engine
NEW YORK, NY - November 2, 2000 - The American Society Of
Media Photographers (ASMP), a global trade organization with
membership of over 5,000 professional photographers,
announced its intention to further evaluate the
StockMedia.net content licensing platform which launched
today at PhotoExpo 2000 in New York.
The ASMP statement is as follows:
After a pre-release review of the Stock Media online
licensing system by a team of ASMP Directors, it was
generally felt that the system potentially could offer
opportunities to photographers seeking alternatives to
traditional stock agencies. ASMP will be exploring ways for
its members to participate in the system under an ASMP
program. ASMP President Gene Mopsik said, "Success is
achieved by building up from a solid base, and Stock Media
seems to have developed a good foundation to build on."
Stock Media CEO Randy Taylor commented on the statement,
"It is our mission to add value to the creative process by
providing the tools necessary for photographers and their
agents to get their creative works to market. I'm very
pleased that the ASMP is considering StockMedia.net as an
alternative licensing channel for their membership of
professional photographers."
Stock Media Corporation, based in New York City,
empowers creators and their agents by providing technology
and Internet marketing to license their content, such as
photos, music and video. Stock Media provides 24/7
ecommerce licensing to businesses, with an emphasis on
digital markets, via its StockMedia.net network of stock
content sites and via its proprietary Content Service
Platform.
